Marit Appeldoorn, LICSW, RPT-S is a therapist, supervisor, and consultant outside Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is a former president of the Minnesota Association for Play Therapy, and is the co-founder of Safe Haven, a group providing consultation, supervision, and training to therapists and supervisors. She is on the faculty of Winona State University and teaches courses on play therapy and somatic interventions. She has presented workshops both locally and nationally, and her Reflective Play Therapy Supervision model was introduced at the APT International Conference in 2025. Marit also offers virtual Reflective Play Therapy Supervision (RFPTS) supervision groups as well as coaching and consultation for play therapy supervisors.
